When Eddie Van Halen left Music Man, the company evolved his signature into the Axis Super Sport, keeping the asymmetrical neck carve, DiMarzio humbuckers, and 5-bolt neck joint. The hardtail Super Sport variant adds versatile switching and coil splits for studio flexibility.
