Fender Jaguar

Short scale, chrome switches, and percussive bite tailor-made for alt rock.

Fender issued the Jaguar in 1962 with a 24-inch scale, foam-muted bridge, and elaborate switching aimed at studio pros. Although discontinued in 1975, punk and alternative guitarists embraced its spiky attack and offset ergonomics, leading to reissues and signature models.
